This is a story about 5 year old Victoria Hughes.  On June 27, 2009, I was involved in an ATV accident with my baby sitter.  I was trapped under the ATV after the wreck and my right leg was broken and I had sustained 3rd degree burns on my left leg.

I was initially life flighted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA.  While at Grady Hospital, my parents became aware of the Shriner's and that we could go to a hospital that specialized in children's burn patients.  We were transported to Cincinnati Shriner's Hospital were I stayed for almost 2 weeks. My broken right leg was set and I had skin grafts to my left leg.  My care was incredible!

After my stay in the Cincinnati Shriner's Hospital, I was taken back to the clinic in Cincinnati every 2 weeks for 2 months.  Through the clinic care and my rehabilitation, I learned to walk again. I did not walk the whole month of July 2009.  I am now able to run and participate in all my school activities, Thanks to the Shriner's and to all the people like David Ragan who support the Shriner's.

The Shriner's organization took care of my stay in Cincinnati and my trips back to clinic without my parents ever seeing a bill.
